Fear of the Dark

The unknown is like a demon

For the brave to dare to dance

And though some will meet their fate

Many demons meet their match

Explorers aplenty

And many a journeyman

Have faced an immortal fiend

On their travels through the land

Oppenheimer and Von Braun

The terror they unleashed

Rained hells fiery fury

Before finally being contained

And every new endeavor

Faces demons of its own

Unknown fears and problems

That eat men live and whole

Man will always conquer

And cast away the dark

Growing comfortable in this land

And making it his home

But the demon always lurks

Seeking to tear and to rend

Man may fight them back,

…but make no mistake

….the eternal struggle shall never, ever, end.
